What’s a festival without music?
22 April, 2013Earth Day is a celebration of not just the Earth but the life sustained by this precious little planet we happen to live on. To help celebrate life we’re inviting some home-grown musicians to perform for our vendors and guests. After all, what is a festival without music?
We’re proud to be partnered with Framingham’s own Centre Music House who will be providing sound equipment (and a couple of musicians). Here’s a list of bands playing for the festival:
1. Caputo Bros. Blues Band
Hailing from nearby Ashland, this local four-piece channels America’s traditional electric blues.
2. Big Bad Wolf
The members of this (mostly) Framingham-born quintet would describe their sound as “garage-folk.” Sweeping cello lines swirling with wailing guitar riffs juxtaposed by soothing vocal harmonies.
3. Strike Up
Lowell-based blues-rock/folk-fusion.
Another Lowell-based band in the style of New Orleans Big Brass bands.
5. Fox Pass
Pop/Rock veterans from Boston.
Thank you also to Framingham High School for supplying our stage!
